How do I get started?

The first step for all new members at Chemistry.com is to complete the Chemistry Profile.

The Chemistry Profile generally takes about 35 to 40 minutes from start to finish, though you can save your work mid-way through if you’re short on time or called away.

Our customer care team reviews every profile (yes, even yours) before it is posted on the site. Allow between 48 and 72 hours for approval. We will notify you via email once your profile has been approved and posted on the site

How Do You Communication on Chemistry’s.

Our guided communication process is designed to give you the information you need in order to assess the long-term potential of a match.

The communication process consists of four separate stages:

Stage One: Relationship Essentials
Stage Two: Short Answers
Stage Three: Email
Stage Four: In-Person Meeting

At any point in the communication process, you can decide that you’re no longer interested in a specific match – no questions asked. Once you click “Not Interested,” that match will be removed from your Active Matches and relocated to Archives.

Do I need to worry about privacy? Is Chemistry email secure?

Chemistry email is handled entirely through our Web site, with no connection whatsoever to your personal email address.

That said, we urge all Chemistry members to protect their personal information. In email and all other communications, be careful to not inadvertently reveal details about yourself such as your home address or employer’s name.
